Would it be ok to be around someone with shingles?

My grandma is getting the shingles. Would it be ok for me(13 year old female) to be around her for the night? I wanted to spend the night tonight. I know shingles normally affects adults and that you need to have the chicken pox before you get them. I have had the chicken spots before. Would it be safe for me to sped the night with her tonight?
