Chances of catching chicken pox?

About 3 days ago my boyfriend was diagnosed with shingles. We thought he had gotten into poison oak before he went to the doctor so i touched it to put an anti-itch cream on it since he couldn't reach it but I washed my hands right afterward. I had a very mild case of chicken pox when I was young and was told that I could catch it again. What are my chances of developing chicken pox? Also, I didn't think that shingles was transmitted between people, but if it is, what are my chances of getting that?
